Hello, I’m Emma
I’m a project manager. I’m a parent. I’m an expat living in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Several years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually turned into a new chapter in life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Netherlands wasn’t in our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and soon grew into something far greater.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar processes, routines, and expectations. Daily chores seemed more tangled than expected.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Yet gradually, habits took shape. We found places that fit us, connected with other families, and began shaping something that felt steady.
Why I Built Plush Valley Seed
Most information on the web fell into corporate relocation guidance or shallow tourism content. What was missing was a candid, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to bridge that gap — practical guidance drawn from real life in Netherlands.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site is:
- Hands-on insights from living in Netherlands
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated whenever something truly changes
This site isn't:
- A tourism authority resource
- Sponsored review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our time in Netherlands continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Amsterdam or anywhere in Netherlands, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Emma
